Earlier this week we paid homage to Style.com’s long run, as it made a huge transformation into Vogue Runway – the new go-to source for reviews, catwalk photos and video that encompasses fashion week coverage. And while many Style.com veterans have signed on to continue with the new venture, one famed fashion enthusiast has other plans.
Tommy Ton, notable street-style photographer best known for his work with the former Style.com, recently made the decision to break away and create his own website, Tommyton.com. According to Business of Fashion, the site – which has already launched – will feature more than 15,000 images snapped from Ton in the past decade. In addition, the photographer plans to continue releasing new and exclusive images weekly – which is a breath of fresh air especially with NYFW approaching.

“I thought it was really important, from a fashion nerd’s perspective, to be able to look back and view all these images I’ve taken in one place, and for it to be categorised down to every detail,” the photographer told BoF. Readers will be able to sort through images by color, brand, trend and subject. Ton is also expecting to expand from his signature street style shots, with unique runway and backstage images, interviews, videos and editorial to hit the site in future months.
As fans of the fashion enthusiast, we can’t wait to see what Tommy Ton has in store. Check out a few of our favorite archived photos from the site on the pages ahead.
