Sometimes Twitter just says the darnest things. Earlier today, Wednesday, February 12th, one of the randomest Twitter hashtags became a worldwide trend with #IfIWasWhite. Many Twitter users chimed in with loads of edgy tweets either poking fun at what they feel are certain privileges given to people of a certain racial background and skin tone, or pointing out how controversial the trend is and the fact that it only promotes negative perspectives and maintains the underlying discrimination within our society.
Some people referenced various real life situations that have occurred in our history as either points of discussion for this Twitter trend, or as a source for comedy as well.
