At the 2013 BMI Awards, Trina stepped on the stage and performed a tribute to Nicki Minaj. She rapped to Nicki’s “Moment For Life” single, and wore attire similar to what Nicki has performed in in the past.
Some fans on YouTube have been a bit confused by Trina doing the performance, considering that she has been involved in the mainstream hip-hop scene longer than Nicki, and also since Nicki has only been a force representing female rap artists for about 5 years.
Regardless of the doubters, Nicki has put in tons of work during her time in the game and she has earned every honor and award she has gotten.
