Twitter Shows No Sympathy for Kobe Bryant’s Latest Leg Injury (@kobebryant)

Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant has a broken bone in his left knee and is expected to miss six weeks, the team announced Thursday (Dec. 19th) afternoon. Bryant has played six games this season since returning from a torn left Achilles tendon, averaging 13.8 points, 6.3 assists and 4.3 rebounds a game. He twisted his knee during Tuesday’s win against the Memphis Grizzlies.

As soon as news broke of Kobe Bryant missing six weeks due to injury the Twittersphere collectively erupted. There were some who showed their support for the All-Star Laker and then there were many who were ready to immediately shut the player down for his latest injury.
