Randomly this week we saw sheer. Now sheer tends to be a fabric we see in the winter as a way to show skin but still be protected from the cold elements. So to see the fabrication technique in the middle of summer is pleasantly surprising.
But the fabrication theme has actually carried out more than once this summer. We saw brocade, velvet and tons of lace in the months that they’d otherwise be retired. The overall message: Fabric shouldn’t be dominated by season, if designed correctly.
