Jola Agee – WW (Water Whippin’)

Published

on

“WW” or “or Water Whippin’” from Jola Agee was recorded at GUPPZ house. I found the beat on YouTube from a cool dude names juggboigio. We became allies and he allowed me to use the beat for the song. The recording took about an hour and a half, but sadly we weren’t able to find someone who could master the song. Luckily, the song already sounds good by itself.

Jola is someone who loves and appreciates real music. Growing up, both mom and dad exposed Jola at a young age to artist such as Raphael Saadiq, Ruben Studdard, D’Angelo, and much more. The energy and the love surrounding the music changed Jola’s perspective on life. Around 7th grade, Jola was then exposed to rap music from his older brother who showed him The Alchemist, Tupac, Jay Z, etc. From there Jola would branch off and listen to artist such as 2Pac, Snoop Dogg, Eazy-E, AZ, Nas, and the list goes on.

When Jola began writing, he was only a freshman in high school. Overtime with practice, Jola finally complete his first song in his junior year of high school. Jola began to gain popularity when one of his songs, when it was played at one of the rally’s at his school. From there Jola began to take his music seriously and promoted the hell out of it like there was no tomorrow.
