Yksopretty – Rip.19 @yksopretty

Published

on

Yksopretty’s latest single “Rip.19” touches on the duality of life and death. Coming from a sense of happiness while dealing with the low ends of losing loved ones. Saluting JuiceWRLD, Mac Miller, and Lil Peep, Yksopretty draws you in with familiar vocal chimes while hitting you with heavy memories on this “purgatory” banger. This track was produced by Eris and mix and mastered by his in house engineer, O-DxxxZY.

Stemming from Detroit, Yksopretty’s sound tends to stick out from the rest in a way that adds to both rivers of sound. One side holds the trappy feel that you get from artists like ‘Lil Uzi’ and ‘Deko’, while allowing subtle drips of the intoxicating, low feels, held by artists like ‘JuiceWRLD’ and ‘Lil Peep’. The past year has been a crossroad of genre meshing as Yksopretty infuses trap with melodic dopamine. From his first visual “Pitbull” which was released Jan. 2019, to his most recent one “Blue Cheese” which dropped 2 months ago, its not a surprise his sound is gaining waves.

Heavily centered around highs and lows, Yksopretty’s sound brings you closer to the Sun and back down to Earth from in minutes. Sampling bands such as ‘Senses Fails’ and ‘Hawthorne Heights’, he intertwines dark and light while building his flows around specific feelings and ways of thinking. Featured on the blog “bongminesentertainment.com“, the song “Gr888” off his project “888” was described as “an interesting tale of a young guy who believes being him should be a crime.” Before wrapping up 2019 Yksopretty released an EP titled “BornFromPain”, This only continued to showcase his talents in a light only he could project. The latest piece of music we’ve received was a single titled “Rip.19”.

Diving into the unexpected loss of the late rappers Mac Miller and JuiceWRLD, this track only allows his audience to drift further into the working mind of the sadboy that is “so pretty”. This track is a base for his highly anticipated Album that will be dropping before Summer 2020. It gives a sense of expectations or whats to come, from the mixing to the energy; It is obvious that Yksopretty is not finished tugging you closer to the edge with him. At 24 years old he has already made a name for himself in his area and is projected to make a bigger impact then he realizes. Yksopretty is an essence that will grab your attention and have you coming back for more.

“This tape is everything about me and it’s a welcome into my life, the things that I’m dealing with, the ups and downs and the good times that I’ve had. Being able to do the things that other people aren’t. From fighting cases to heartbreak and moving on to the better, this project has it all,” he said. “I caught a case over my last girl, I was facing a year in prison for some bullshit. One Wish is just about moving on to being better and speaking from my soul.”

Taking him back to his relationships of heartbreak, Spacey Cain travels into a space far away from his previous heartbreak and pain while at the same time he revisits those issues close to his heart.

“It brings me back to a lot of different times, I’m going through it when I’m at work and I’m in the booth recording, I’m living in that pain again and I want them to catch my vibe. I want them to connect with me and I want them to relate to me, I want them to be able to feel that pain from me.” Spacey Cain said. “Everybody can have a past story, if you’re going through something keep your head up you can get through anything.”

Refusing his get let go of the past but finding a way to live with it, Spacey spoke of being connected mentally and emotionally.

“One Wish is like me being able to gravitate back and forth between something that we are both connected to mentally and emotionally. I see pain in your eyes and you see pain in mine. For us to be able to love we have to be connected.”

While the “One Wish” music video is in the works, until then Spacey does have a message to fans so they can relate to this no matter their circumstances.

“I want my fans to know that you have to watch who you fuck with because it could bring you down.”

Going forward Spacey Cain is continuing to push the release of his project Spacey Cain – Astronomical which is now available everywhere you can stream music.

Today ATL based artist Lightskin Bobbyreleases his new album, “Last of A Dying Breed” the third single from his third album. Previously Bobby released the singles “Lil Baby” featuring Faded Mulah, “Summer Vibes” and “Ice” which combined generated over 2 million views over the past few months.

“My music mixes R&B with Hip-Hop and integrates some of my Bahamian culture into the sound,” Lightskin Bobby explained. “Even though I’m from Atlanta, I’m not your typical Atlanta artist. I can actually sing, but I’m also kind of rough around the edges so it’s easy for people to think that I’m a rapper and not a singer. Little do they know, I can rap too, but I’m still a singer first.”

Going back and forth between ballads and love songs, and stretching to club bangers and ratchet tracks, Lightskin Bobby looks to add something to his sound that’s authentic and eclectic.

My music is something that will make you durrty whine. And it all sounds authentic and not like I’m jumping all over the place, because it’s all a part of me and I do it all so well,” he added.

Getting his start as early as high school Lightskin Bobby has been on the scene in Atlanta for a decade building up for his big break.

I’ve been a professional recording artist since high school. I’ve been on the scene for quite away, always in the mix and working with other known artists and producers, singing, recording, and putting out music videos,”a 30 year old Lightskin Bobby said.  “Back then it wasn’t my time but now it’s my season to shine. So, here I am not ready to go but already going. I’m an artist. I’ve been an artist and an independent, money-making artist at that. So, I’ve surpassed just being another artist. I now have an ownership mindset. I’m the CEO of my own record label 4biddenPleasureMusic Group.”
