Joey Bada$$ Teams With Action Bronson on Run Up On Ya Talks About Malia Obama on Bloomberg TV
Thanks to a left-field shoutout apparently from Malia Obama, rapper Joey Bada$$ has gotten extra attention in the build up to his formal debut LP, B4.DA.$$ (out on January 20.) During a recent appearance on Bloomberg TV, Joey talked about the Malia/Pro Era shirt photo, saying he didn’t know what the big deal was at first–because he didn’t recognize who she was. Today, producer Statik Selektah has shared Joey’s Action Bronson and Elle Varner collaboration “Run Up On Ya” that Statik Selektah produced for B4.DA.$$. (Previously, we heard Joey’s Kiesza collab “Teach Me”, “Curry Chicken”, and “Big Dusty”.) Listen above.
Earlier this week, Joey performed “Like Me” on “The Tonight Show”, accompanied by the Roots and BJ the Chicago Kid. He ended his the song with his hands in the air. Watch that below.
