Recently Common sat down with Revolt TV and spoke about his new track “War”, which will appear on his upcoming album Nobody Smiling. From the track’s title it is obvious that the rapper is speaking on the current violence that continues to claim the lives of today’s generation. With Chicago currently being one of the most dangerous cities and Common being a Chicago native he’s been able to speak from experience. Common reveals that when he started working with producer No I.D. Nobody Smiling was only meant to be an EP, but has evolved into a full album since then. There is no official release date for the album as of yet, but I’m pretty sure 2014 will definitely be a great year for Common.
