[New EP] Tyrik Ballard- Evolution of the Lotus @tyriksings

Published

on

Harlem NYC’s own Tyrik Ballard is a young visionary with a powerful voice and an even more powerful presence and message behind his music. Tyrik began his musical journey at the early age of 15, writing and singing songs to express his emotions and telling the stories of his life, through the art of song. Urged to further his career and talent by his family, they pushed him to pursue his craft in a serious manner. Tyrik embodies leadership and focus. He was captain of his swim team in school and took part in the Junior Olympics. The discipline that he acquired through the sport taught him the importance of teamwork at an early age.

Tyrik’s Life has not been without its tragedy and heartbreak, as senseless gun violence unexpectedly ended the life of a close friend. Tyrik poured his pain into pen and paper, and that tragedy inspired him to write the song “Why Don’t We Try”, where he spreads a profound message of gun violence awareness and focuses on community and growth. A millennial, with an old soul, Tyrik is a visionary who cites the foundation of his musical inspiration as 90’s R&B. It shines through in his effortless, smooth and soulful tones. His story is one of talent, passion and perseverance.

Tyrik’s main goal is to inspire his peers to stay in school, stay out of the streets, focus on their goals and never give up. Tyrik’s latest collaborations include Kaleb “KQuick” Rollins Grammy Nominated, platinum producer/songwriter/engineer. Credits include Chris Brown, Nelly, Jeremih, Ryan Leslie, J Cole and Bas. 1/2 of production duo ClickNPress and co-owner of Grand Staff Studios in NYC . The Combination of KQuick & singer/performer Tyrik is inspired. The two lock into the studio and go to work KQUICK on the tracks and Tyrik on the vocals. The chemistry, hard work and synergy between the two becomes a body of work titled ” The Evolution of Lotus – which can be found on all digital outlets

Kazon’s ‘My Brother’: A Harmonious Tale of Redemption and Advocacy

Published

on

In the bustling streets of Southeast, Washington DC, rapper Kazon’s latest offering, “My Brother,” emerges as a symphony of redemption and advocacy, resonating with audiences far and wide.

Kazon’s path to musical stardom has been fraught with obstacles, from brushes with the law to a brush with death that left him scarred but unbroken. Through it all, he credits his resilience to the belief that every setback is an opportunity for growth.

With “My Brother,” Kazon takes on the role of a lyrical mentor, offering guidance and solace to Black youth grappling with violence and systemic oppression. Through heartfelt verses and melodic refrains, he shares his own journey of redemption, using his past mistakes as a catalyst for change.

At its core, “My Brother” is a call to action—a plea for unity, love, and advocacy within the Black community. Kazon’s harmonious tale serves as a reminder that through solidarity and advocacy, we can effect real change and pave the way for a brighter future.

As the final notes of “My Brother” fade into the ether, Kazon’s message lingers: every trial is a testament to our strength, and every mistake is a chance to do better. Through his music, he invites us to join him in a journey of redemption and advocacy—one that holds the promise of a more just and equitable world for all.
