Juug Season

GLDMND’s latest single “Juug Season”.

Music Industry veterans David “Fort Knox” Freeman’s and Tarik “Big Tah” Scott’s newly signed group GLDMND has released the holiday single “Juug Season” via their Heavee Weights label.

The group GLDMND is reminisce of The Fugees and Digable Planets being that they are comprised of 2 males (Cozy & Tyler Jackson) and a female (Jess). What differentiates these Atlanta natives from those legendary groups is that all members rap and sing. On the song “Juug Season”, Cozy performs a satirical rap personifying a Santa who is very immersed in youth culture. Tyler Jackson’s 2nd verse conveys the warm loving family vibe of the season. Jess provides the angelic vocals in the chorus that wrap the song in a traditional Christmas spirit.

Group member Tyler Jackson is also the producer of “Juug Season”. He flips the Clarence Carter “Back Door Santa” sample that Run DMC used in a 2018 ATL way. The song received co production by grammy award winning team @Thoseguysmusic (IG) and CO CEO Big Tah.

The single’s cover and song title were inspired by the FX hit tv show ATLANTA’s 2nd Season which was titled Robbin’ Season. The cover was shot and designed by @prolevelphotography. GLDMND wants to remind us that during a time of year where people are suppose to be giving many people are taking or juuging. People are being juuged of their: dignity, time, money, love, and self respect to name a few. GLDMND would like for you to give more than you take this season.
