D.Tall – “Top Down”

Published

on

In several decades, Texas legend Bun B has solidified himself as arguably one of the greatest Southern Hip-Hop recording artist of all-time. 1/2 of the legendary duo, UGK, Bun-B created a definitive identity as a solo artist with a ton of well-known hits like “That’s Gangsta,” “Recognize” and “You’re Everything.” For the South, Bun established a blueprint that has been followed by many of today’s new acts like the fast-rising Dallas recording artist, D.Tall. In support of his new album, Kill Lucy, D.Tall remembers his O.G.s legacy on the new single, respectively-titled, “Top Down.”

The song serves as an ode to Texas car culture while simultaneously giving respect to the signature sound made mainstream by the UGK legacy act. “Top Down is important because music is the universal language,” D.Tall says. “Throughout the record I break down what I listen to and why. Overall, it’s a feel-good record. Windows down, sunroof back, and good weather. It’s a vibe.”

“Top Down” is the latest release from D.Tall’s early 2020 album, Kill Lucy. Both the song and album produced entirely by D.Tall-himself.

On 2 Entertainment, D.Tall new album, Kill Lucy, is the artist’s third full-length effort. Along with “Top Down,” the 10-track project features the previously released, “Long Road,” “Glory to God” and “Tried to Love the Streets.” After the listen, to find out more about D.Tall, follow the new artist on social media.

In the bustling streets of Southeast, Washington DC, rapper Kazon’s latest offering, “My Brother,” emerges as a symphony of redemption and advocacy, resonating with audiences far and wide.

Kazon’s path to musical stardom has been fraught with obstacles, from brushes with the law to a brush with death that left him scarred but unbroken. Through it all, he credits his resilience to the belief that every setback is an opportunity for growth.

With “My Brother,” Kazon takes on the role of a lyrical mentor, offering guidance and solace to Black youth grappling with violence and systemic oppression. Through heartfelt verses and melodic refrains, he shares his own journey of redemption, using his past mistakes as a catalyst for change.

At its core, “My Brother” is a call to action—a plea for unity, love, and advocacy within the Black community. Kazon’s harmonious tale serves as a reminder that through solidarity and advocacy, we can effect real change and pave the way for a brighter future.

As the final notes of “My Brother” fade into the ether, Kazon’s message lingers: every trial is a testament to our strength, and every mistake is a chance to do better.
