On Smash – Everything Clean (Official Video) (Dir. By @LikeVisions)

He said ‘Sway I got it, I got it, I got it.’ Then I said ight let me hear it. And then you spit. And I was like, that’s how it should be. That’s HIP HOP! I don’t know you. I don’t know what you’ve done with your life, but that verse you kicked for me was right.” Sway’s energy towards the rap abilities of OnSmash is the same excitement that crowds have experienced since his underground performance days. OnSmash earned his stripes in a myriad of rap competitions as a first place winner. He made his presence known on renowned stages like Coast 2 Coast, SOB’s and Webster Hall. His songwriting abilities landed OnSmash in the production credits for prominent artists such as Cardi B, Spice and various Love & Hip-Hop artists. With over 190,000 spotify streams, 900,000 soundcloud plays, and a viral song with over 3 million views on a viral record, it’s safe to say that OnSmash is Mr. Popular. His latest project Never Left showcases his witty, humorous wordplay just like his visual Everything Clean.

Everything Clean is the perfect title for this visual. Every scene was simplistic but reeked of humble opulence. A well-furnished house leads us to a granite floored patio surrounding a pool, inhabited by a few friends. What I loved the most about this record/visual is that it isn’t busy. Sonically, the song is bouncy and melodic leaving areas for OnSmash to display his catchy lyricism. Visually, there weren’t too many things to concentrate on, which is great when trying to appreciate the song simultaneously. Being that it was a pool-side scene, it would be assumed that it would be a party. Whether it was for covid reasons or the original vision, the intimate setting with spurts of color from lighting and smoke bombs was satisfying. OnSmash’s humorous sexual innuendos is what makes his social media enjoyable to watch. We catch a glimpse of this at the end of the video also. “Everything Clean” is fun with heavy replay value. OnSmash is definitely an artist to keep your eye on.

California collective MMUPCLAN releases their latest song “Drugs N’ Groceries.” Complete with a lyric video, the new song starts off with audio of a conversation with one member’s mother in which she asks what he’s spending his money on. What starts off as mother-and-son banter quickly morphs into an entertaining anthem all about dishing their funds the way they want. The catchy cut features a fresh West Coast beat that is funky and riding on hydraulics, creating the perfect soundscape for cooling and kicking it your way.
