Sidney Breedlove – T.I.G @colgakid

Published

on

Atlanta based hip hop artist Sidney Breedlove is no stranger to perfecting his craft. Having recently taken a public hiatus to craft over 100 original tracks, it’s safe to say that Sidney Breedlove understands the grind.

Sidney recently unveiled a Marko Visuals directed visual for his latest single “T.I.G”. “T.I.G” is a piano-laden straight forward track that finds Sidney Breedlove finding a way to ride the Lex Luger-esque bass while delivering masterful lines. The production on this one leans towards the current trap era that can be heard on other Southern-based acts. What helps to set Sidney Breedlove apart on this one is his lyrical delivery, as well as his introspective yet, relatable lines.

Columbus, Georgia raised hip hop artist Sidney Breedlove aka Breed is no stranger to trap music being that he comes from the south. However, being raised in his grandfather’s house, (who didn’t allow rap music to be played) spending most of his childhood around his mother who loved Tupac Shakur with all her heart and being from a very specific area in Columbus that has such diversity amongst different ethnicities makes for a very blended influence on this young emcee’s music.

This influence is displayed nicely over every track Breed creates, as he never creates the same sounding song more than once. This results in his versatility easily being showcased each time a new song is released. Breed moved from Columbus Georgia to Atlanta in 2014 to attend The Art Institute of Atlanta. He began his networking there and has been making his way to the top of the industry ever since. He has worked at practically every level in the industry. Starting off as an intern, eventually moving up to various paid engineering jobs, Songwriting/Production and even getting several artists signed to major labels.

After helping so many artists along the way while neglecting his own ambitions Breed made a conscious decision that it was time to put his music at the forefront. He would take a short break from releasing material to rack up on music, accumulating over 100 recordings ready for release. Earlier this year Breed returned back on the scene and starting releasing music with a vengeance. 2020 all the stars seem to be aligning for Breed as he aims to make this year his biggest yet.
