Trayce Chapman – Exotic Trayce @TrayceChapman

Published

on

The story of “Exotic Trayce” begins in a sun soaked Denver backyard in the dog days of summer circa 1994. Just 2 years old (and not nearly as exotic), Trayce Chapman is seen in a more simple time enjoying a family reunion with family and loved ones before the imminent transition occurs. From a copious layer of smoke and LED lasers, Trayce emerges in half moon mask appearing to be startled and uneasy.

Only this time circa 2018 as the host of an enchanted gathering occupied by vixens and unfamiliar faces. The video concludes with a flashback to a sunny Denver afternoon circa ‘94 with Trayce’s dad drunk ranting about family roots and principles. Shot and edited by BTV, “Exotic Trayce” is the latest single from the increasingly favored “Exotic Birds” EP.

At the illustrious age of 26 Denver, Colorado native Trayce Chapman (Pronunciation: Trace) is a jubilant force in the up and coming sound of today’s hip-hop scene. Having moved to Houston, Texas for 3 years on a track and field scholarship, the temporary relocation would have a vast impact on how Trayce’s passion for music and arts would expand. Since moving back to Denver in 2012 Trayce has opened up for the likes of A$AP Ferg, YG, J.I.D, Curren$y, IAMSU, A-Boogie wit the hoodie, Larry June, YBN Nahmir, Cousin Stizz, Ugly God and Talib Kweli.

Sporting royal blue dreadlocs and a charismatic smile, Chapman’s edgy demeanor and unique taste in fashion help illustrate the MC’s perspective on art. Most recently Trayce released the Exotic Birds EP which has accumulated 250,000+ streams since its release on May 26th 2018 and continues to boast impressive streaming numbers.
