Few artist-producer partnerships in today’s underground scene feel as natural as Slik Jack and Vincent Pryce. With the release of Yesterday Ain’t Todays Pryce through 100MAD, the Montreal duo delivers another focused and authentic body of work that highlights everything fans have come to appreciate about their collaboration.
Across 14 tracks, Vincent Pryce crafts a rich sonic landscape built on soulful sample chops, deep basslines, layered instrumentation, and hard-hitting drums. His production provides the perfect backdrop for Slik Jack’s sharp lyricism, which combines vivid street storytelling with clever punchlines and a commanding presence.
The project is strengthened by appearances from respected underground voices including Estee Nack, Daniel Son, Bub Styles, Pro Dillinger, and Jay Royale, helping create an album that feels cohesive while offering plenty of standout moments. Combined with visuals for “Joe & Jada,” “LongLive The LowLife,” and “Block Raiderz,” the release continues to build momentum for one of Montreal’s strongest underground rap duos.
