Pitchfork.tv’s “Director ID” series, a collaboration with Portuguese music and arts television network Canal 180 that profiles some of the best directors working in music videos today, continues with new episodes. The latest features Alex Turvey, who has directed clips for Twin Shadow, Neneh Cherry, Wild Beasts, Bright Eyes, Angel Haze, and others.
In this episode, Turvey discusses using his design background in his video work, creating videos “entirely driven by human performance,” the supportive nature of the music video community, and more.
