Zachary Cole Smith also wrote a note on the band’s Tumblr about the band’s recent South American tour, and the decision to release the song. “i feel like this song represents a really important aspect of this album, and to only represent the ‘pop single’ side of it wouldn’t be fair to the album itself,” he wrote.

Last night, DIIV premiered another new track from their forthcoming album Is the Is Are. Following “Dopamine” and “Bent (Roi’s Song)”, they shared “Mire (Grant’s Song)” on Mexico City’s Ibero 90.9 FM. As the band pointed out, a radio rip is available now via Reddit.

Is the Is Are is out February 5 via Captured Tracks.
