Drake gave great praise to his friend and label-mate Lil Wayne at his recent OVO Fest this week. Drake also took a moment to put to rest any rumors that there has been internal beef between him, Wayne, and the YMCMB label as a whole. He brought out Wayne, and right before they performed “The Motto,” Drake addressed the crowd and gave his thanks to Lil Wayne for putting his own career on the pedestal that it is on today.

“This man here is the reason you can feel proud as a city. This man right here is the reason for Drake. This man right here is responsible for Nicki Minaj, for the whole Young Money, for some of the greatest rap music to ever be made. Ya’ll make some noise for the best rapper alive.”

He later expressed his loyalty towards Lil Wayne and YMCMB and stated that he’ll be riding with Wayne for life.

“If I could write it in blood…If there was paperwork that said ‘For life on it’ I’ma let you know I’m gonna be riding with this man right here until the end of time, I promise you. I’m not going anywhere. Young Money is forever. Lil Wayne is forever. Drizzy Drake is forever and that’s that on motherf*cking that.”
