Jamie xx-Scored Ballet Tree of Codes Premieres

Jamie xx has scored Tree of Codes, a ballet that was commissioned by the Manchester International Festival and inspired by the Jonathan Safran Foer novel of the same name. The ballet premiered on July 2 and is being performed until July 10. Below, watch clips from it.

Tree of Codes was choreographed by Wayne McGregor in an environmental created by visual artist Olafur Eliasson; soloists and other dancers from The Paris Opera Ballet and McGregor’s Random Dance Company perform in it.
