Tidal, which recently streamed a Jack White acoustic show, has announced another event from one of its founders. “Tidal X: Jaÿ-Z B-Sides” will feature Jay Z performing deep cuts from his catalog. It’ll take place May 13 at a yet-unnanounced New York City venue.
In order to get access to the Tidal-exclusive performance, Tidal users must submit playlists with a number of stipulations. Playlists will be judged on their sequencing, along with diversity of artist and genre, which means it’s time to bust out everything you learned from making mix CDs in high school. The show will also be streamed on Tidal, for those who can’t make it.
