John Alone’s “Two Suns” is more than a pop song. It serves as a reflective celebration of a life that gives no real answers to the big questions. “Are we alone?”, “Is there a god?”, “Will anything ever work out?” The song gives no solutions to these queries, rather preferring to focus on the beauty of a world where nothing is promised, and hope is the only constant. Some days, dancing like there’s two suns is really all you can do, even when there’s nothing to dance about. John Alone is a maverick. At 22 years old, he is fast approaching the height of his technical and musical prowess, handling the bulk of the sound engineering, recording, mixing and mastering on most of his releases, as well as dabbling in production. He has mastered a wide variety of musical styles, ranging from hip hop/ rap to Soul and alternative R&B and it is safe to say we will be hearing a lot more from this artist in the coming years.
