Today july 2 20 years ago Nas Drop one of the most classic albums to date “IT was written”. While most people were still addicted to “illmatic” Nas didn’t disappoint on the sophomore album. Nas gave us stories about Black girls being lost, street dream, & about how a gun can give you power. It was like a drama sitcom through the 14 song album.You couldn’t skip a song cause it was like your missing an episode of your favorite show, it was so intense! From the Intro point of view blacks beings slaves tired of how we were treated to uprising fast forwarding it to 1996. In a year when we drive Lexus while watching Regus & Cathy lee. We Had to watch them niggas who were close to us and made sure they do what they was suppose to do. Having dreams of ruling the world and more. It was written was epic hood story sound track. Even threw shots and some of the biggest rap artists in name allegedly. Now we sit here today 20 years later thanking Nas for one of the greatest story ever recorded.
