Earlier this year, it was revealed that Kanye West auditioned for “American Idol” in San Francisco. Now, “Idol” has included his appearance in a commercial for the show’s final season. He appears at the end for a few seconds, much to the surprise of judge Jennifer Lopez, who asks, “Is this Kanye West? What are you doing here?” The 30-second spot also includes highlights from the show’s history, including William Hung’s audition and former judge Simon Cowell being, well, judgmental. West has a bit of history with “American Idol”—he performed “Heartless” on the show, and in 2011, he joined Katy Perry to perform “E.T.”.
