NC’s Broadway Miller Releases Touching “James” Record Honoring Victims of Racism @broadwaymiller

IMG_0504 Atlanta artist, by way of North Carolina, Broadway Miller releases new music inspired by the recent tragedies of racism. “James”, produced by Sam Buck, finds Broadway lyrically speaking on the death of James Byrd Jr. If you are not familiar, James was walking home, when some white guys (who he was cool with) asked him to go out for drinks. They then beat James, tied him to the back of a truck and drug his body until it split in two. This was in 1998. In 2020, we are still facing this level of racism with the numerous police killings, and lynches. Broadway left every bit of his emotions on this record, intensifying the message, and the pain and fear we face as black people each day. Broadway recently released his “Isolation” album, available now on all streaming platforms.
