”We all need a release or we just need more love?” This is the question we’re asked on the latest release from the ‘UK’s Waviest Rap Artist’ Calv XL.
Produced by Kid Ocean and Directed by Switch Gang Visuals “White Cups” draws us in on a journey into XL’s hazy bubble known locally as the Switchside. With a leaned-out, autotune ambience and catchy melodies easing us into a less exposed corner of the growing UK rap scene, this one leaves us thirsty for more like the sweet, opium-based beverage it was inspired by.
The trippy visual serves as the 1st single from Calv XL’s 3rd project “A Linctus Affair” which will be coming to all digital outlets on November 30th 2017. This is one you definitely don’t want to be sleeping on.
