Nicolas Jaar, Julia Holter, William Basinski, Holly Herndon, and several other musicians have contributed to “Other People’s Imaginary Feast”, a sound piece that incorporates samples selected by the artists. It was organized through Jaar’s Other People label, and made to demonstrate the technology behind Sensory Percussion—a sensor that attaches to a pair of drums and allows the drummer to then control an array of samples by playing. They’re currently seeking funding via Kickstarter, which you can check out here. You can watch a trailer for “Other People’s Imaginary Feast” below, and listen to the whole thing here.
