Nine Inch Nails Logo Used by Canadian Politicians for T-Shirt

Earlier this week, Canadian politicians Rachel Notley (Premier of Alberta), Don Iveson (Mayor of Edmonton), and Naheed Nenshi (Mayor of Calgary) unveiled a new T-shirt heralding their partnership. As Exclaim reports, the shirt apes the Nine Inch Nails logo, since Notley, Iveson, and Nenshi together make up a different NIN. Underneath the logo, it reads “Building Alberta Together.”

The type of joke a well-intentioned dad would make? Maybe, but that doesn’t bother Nenshi. As Exclaim points out, when a Twitter user called the shirt “lame,” he responded:

@Imalbertaboy @chimaincalgary @RachelNotley of course it’s lame. That’s why it’s funny. — Naheed Nenshi (@nenshi) June 23, 2015

Previously, Notley sold “Notley Crüe” shirts.
