However, yesterday we saw it not only on Tory Burch’s Angor Wat- inspired collection, it was also visible on Rodarte’s runways and in Peter Copping’s second collection for Oscar de la Renta.

Mixed with crochet on a red gown on the Oscar de la Renta runway, it was Coping finally coming into his own at the legendary fashion house. In Rodarte, it was a modern take on Victorian romanticism. In Alice + Olivia, it was the perfect accessory for her dessert-inspired embroidery. At Milly it was the tiny accent for their minimalist approach to spring.

Even Serena Williams slayed in fringe on her HSN runway, with Anna Wintour sitting front row.

Everywhere on NYFW day 6, a subtle touch of fringe proved perfect hems are overrated.
