During a performance last night in Los Angeles, Solange debuted a new song, “Rise”, that she said was written “for Ferguson, for Baltimore,” according to Rap-Up. She also said it’ll likely appear on her next record, which will follow 2012’s True. Watch a video of it below.
Solange was performing at an event presented by HBO in celebration of their new Bessie Smith biopic Bessie, starring Queen Latifah.
