Donald Fagen of Steely Dan has been arrested and charged with misdemeanor assault after a fight with his wife, singer/songwriter Libby Titus, Rolling Stone reports. Last night, police were called to the couple’s New York home; Fagen was released from jail this morning without bail.
An NYPD spokesperson told Rolling Stone, “[Titus] and Fagen were involved in a verbal dispute, at which point he grabbed her by the arm and pushed her. She fell, bruising her arm.”
The New York Post reports that Titus has taken out an order of protection against Fagen. According to the Post, the criminal complaint alleges that Fagen shoved Titus into a marble window frame.
