Ted Leo, Aimee Mann Team With Conan O’Brien for Song Supporting Presidential Candidate Lincoln Chafee

If you haven’t heard of Democratic presidential candidate Lincoln Chafee, you’re not alone: the former Rhode Island governor is currently polling at 0%. To help him out, Conan O’Brien enlisted Ted Leo and Aimee Mann to write a song in support of Chafee, with the intention of getting him to 1% in the polls. On Wednesday night’s episode of “Conan”, Leo and Mann sang their song, which was written in the style of Fine Young Cannibals’ “She Drives Me Crazy”. Watch it below, via Billboard.

“I want to thank Conan for the attention,” Chafee told Billboard in a statement. “He’s a good sport and I would definitely come on the show to help his ratings.”
