The Avalanches are still at work on the follow-up to 2000’s Since I Left You. They’ve undergone another lineup change as founding member Darren Seltmann is no longer with the group, as Consequence of Sound points out.
Back in February 2014, Seltmann’s wife, singer-songwriter Sally Seltmann, told Melbourne’s Herald Sun that he’d left the Avalanches. The news was confirmed by the band’s label, Modular, who said: “Yep, Darren hasn’t been in the band for a while, so officially the band is Robbie Chater and Tony Di Blasi right now. Album sounds awesome, but there’s no dates or anything planned. The official line is ‘stay tuned.'”
As usual, there’s no real news on when the Avalanches album will come out. Here’s what we knew three years ago.
