Virian New Relaesed – Me Too   Virian is a Los Angeles native and has taken her most traumatic experiences and turned them into songs as a form of healing. “Music has the power to reach people with information. I believe our stories deserve to be heard.” Her previous feature, “1941,” a dance track released by Klaypex has reached 3.6M streams on Spotify and continues to sit in the “Electro Swing” playlist. Her name is Virian (a.k.a. V1rian) as earlier stated. She is an Indie-Pop artist from Los Angeles, CA, and has just released the debut single, “Me Too,” (from her upcoming album) available on all streaming platforms. As an artist, she writes and sings about personal experiences and in many cases. November 19, 2021, Los Angeles — The release of V1rian’s debut single, “Me Too,” from her upcoming album, is set in the midst of much heated and continued debate around the issue of sexual misconduct at the hands of powerful people. Provocative as it is, “Me Too” is a relationship song expressing a multifaceted perspective not usually discussed around the subject. V1rian (born, Virian Gonzalez Valdez) is a native of Los Angeles, California, and grew up singing and performing on television, in high school musicals and live venues between L.A. and her family’s homeland of Nayarit, Mexico. Unfortunately, at various times from early childhood into her young-adult years, she would fall prey to sexual abuse. V1rian states, “Throughout her life, she found healing in songwriting, which became her therapy. This created a safe space for me to evolve from victim to survivor and storyteller.” The song, “Me Too,” is set to a cool beat-driven track, with an intro reminiscent of Tchaikovsky’s “Sugar Plum Fairy.” Her lyrics detail reflections of her truth, resentment, and complacency — leaving point-of-view for the listeners’ interpretations. Throughout the track, V1rian’s unique, soft melancholic vocal is supported by a solo cello, with the tune ending in a dance between melodic piano and her voice. “Me Too” is just a taste of what’s to come on V1rian’s upcoming album release, set for Winter / Spring 2022.
