Wavves’ Nathan Williams Shares Album Art, Goes Off on Label: "You Don’t Scare Me"

Wavves‘ Nathan Williams has issued a series of statements on Twitter regarding what appears to be a dispute over his forthcoming album’s release.

Earlier today Wavves shared a new track entitled “Way Too Much”, from the as-of-yet untitled follow-up to 2013’s Afraid of Heights. Shortly thereafter he posted a comment that Warner Brothers wanted to “pull [“Way Too Much”] already” and threatened to post the whole album if they pulled the song.

Now, the dispute has turned into a full-fledged war of words. “Its so obnoxious to work tirelessly on something and then have a bunch of ppl who just see me as a money sign go and fuck it all up,” he wrote, and it only got stronger from there.

Williams also posted what he says is his album art (initially he posted a white album cover, but subsequently he’s posted several copies of the more detailed art, above) and said “album is called ‘v’. fifth album. v. vv. vvv. a trilogy” before posting more comments directed at the label. See his comments below, via Twitter.
