ApolloRed1 Turns “Africa” Into A Violet Transmission

A radio signal can cross a continent before anyone names the frequency, and ApolloRed1 sends “Africa” out in violet waves. Released through YVL and Interscope Records, the new single follows his Demon Heart Radio mixtape with a more melodic transmission. Frequent collaborator Ayelavish! builds the track off skipping snares and racing hi-hats. Apollo answers with a chant-sung melody which ties diamonds, chains, and blood back to Africa. The repetition brings alive the ancestry within the song’s central pulse. Its official video keeps the frame minimal, silhouetting Apollo against black and glowing purple as feathers descend around women and children.

“Africa” arrives soon after Apollo appeared on Ken Carson’s “9 b*tches” and ahead of his October 3 performance at ComplexCon 2026 inside Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena. The single also opens a new passage beyond “Demon Heart Radio,” an 18-track project featuring Destroy Lonely, OsamaSon, and HXG. This new song keeps the station alive while shifting its horizon. As the next frequency begins to flicker, watch “Africa,” then follow ApolloRed1. Connect on Instagram, YouTube, SoundCloud, Spotify, and Apple Music.
