Following the success of Austin Awake’s 2017’s More Than Existing, the New York performer is back with the lead record from his upcoming release A Long Way From Home EP. “About You” finds Austin coming to grips with the end of a small-town relationship and reflecting on some of the good times, while moving ahead towards the future. It’s the first of a series of videos to be released for his project. Austin believes strongly in his ability to write and make great records. “I’m gonna change the game sooner than everyone thinks. I respect the process that’s why I gave myself til this summer to release material I was confident in but I’ve been working diligently daily to perfect my craft,” says Austin. While it’s no shortage in music these days, Austin has built a name for himself by smashing covers on YouTube, which helped him reach an amazing 200K subscribes all who are patiently waiting on his next full length project. If “About You” song and video are any indication of what’s to come, it’s gonna be an amazing summer for Austin or shall we say an “AWAKEning.”
