Artist Spotlight: Meet XZAI

At only 18 years old, DC rapper XZAI is already showing his veteran level song making abilities with new single, “Imported”.

DC rapper “Xzai”, pronounced Zay, might not be a name on your radar yet, but he should be. His latest single “imported” is a for sure club banger. From the moment you hear those flutes come in you know it’s bout to be a straight crank fest.

His speedy flow compliments the slightly off beat delivery that is becoming the sound of the youth in the DMV. He talks real big dog talk throughout the song which is what we have come to expect from XZAI. The hook is Uber-catchy and instantly quotable. This young brother doesn’t seem to miss in the booth as he consistently drops heat every time he releases something new.

“Imported” is not his only banger if you want to check out more of his music a good place to start would be his more R&B/pop focused hit “No games”. After that his “Honor freestyle” and “Margiela” are ones to add to your playlist. This young rapper has a lot in his arsenal that you can jam out to so don’t be afraid to explore his discography. We hope to see and hear more from XZAI this year and can’t wait for his next project. We also heard he will be featured heavily on a big Television project showcasing popular artists in his hometown, if this is true we most definitely will be tuned in on whatever channel it is! Make sure you follow XZAI on all social media and streaming platforms.
