PRE-SAVE NOW! Dr. Alecia Garrick Set To Drop A New Church Anthem On Juneteenth

  Who Is Dr. Alecia Garrick?

Dr. Alecia Garrick is a dynamic leader, pastor, evangelist, visionary, and psalmist whose life and ministry have been defined by compassion, purpose, and the power of God. A native of Columbia, South Carolina, she answered the call to ministry in 2010 and immediately set out to build something lasting — not only in the church, but in the community.

That same year, she founded Harvest Outreach Center (HOC), a purpose-driven ministry and outreach organization created to serve the Midlands region and support formerly incarcerated individuals. Through HOC, Dr. Garrick provided essential services including transitional shelter, job placement, clothing, food assistance, and personalized referral counseling — helping people rebuild their lives with dignity and hope.

Her vision expanded with the creation of the Harvest Center House of Edna, named in honor of her late mother. This nonprofit initiative focused on youth development, offering after-school tutoring, summer camps, and mentorship to help disadvantaged children thrive academically and spiritually. It also provided vital support for struggling families in the region, creating a safe space where education and faith intersected to empower the next generation.

Guided by her personal mission to Live Better. Love Better. Serve Better. Give Better, Dr. Garrick has overseen countless community programs: school supply and coat drives, Thanksgiving dinners, holiday family assistance, and dynamic women’s ministry events. Her work continues to leave a profound impact on lives across South Carolina and beyond.

Dr. Garrick holds an Associate’s Degree in Biblical Theology and Christian Counseling from the Word Institute in Winston-Salem, NC, and was honored with a Doctorate of Divinity from the School of the Great Commission in Atlanta, GA.

But long before the pulpit, there was praise. Dr. Garrick has been singing since the age of three, raised in a family with deep gospel roots. Her father’s involvement in quartet programs and her mother’s evangelical legacy shaped her early musical calling. She released her first single, “Virtuous Woman”, in 2002, followed by “Hymns of Worship” (2004), “New Beginning” (2006), and “Seasons” (2008). Over the years, she has shared platforms with gospel icons like Pastor John P. Kee, and was personally mentored by the legendary Helen Baylor, even remaking Baylor’s classic “The Best is Yet to Come.”

In 2019, her ministry celebrated a major milestone: the acquisition of a five-acre property at 4540 Leesburg Rd in Hopkins, SC, where Harvest Outreach Center Church (HOCC) held its first service and formal dedication — establishing a new home base for the growing vision.

Now, in 2025, Dr. Garrick is stepping boldly into a new phase of ministry: mobile outreach — taking church beyond the walls. This initiative will include worship on wheels, street evangelism, and resource distribution aimed at reaching underserved communities where they are. It’s a continuation of her lifelong mission: to meet needs, preach hope, and draw people closer to Jesus.

She is also the author of “Journal to Forgiveness”, a powerful devotional exploring healing, release, and restoration. Her second book, “Daily Decrees and Declares”, is set to release soon, offering a daily spiritual boost for those seeking to grow in faith and speak life.

Through every chapter of her life — whether preaching, singing, writing, or serving — Dr. Alecia Garrick remains a vessel of God’s love and a beacon of transformation.

What’s Dropping This Juneteenth?

This Juneteenth, Dr. Alecia Garrick returns to the mic with a brand-new single: “Tried In The Fire.”

Powerful and prophetic, this song is a reflection of her journey — and a message for anyone who’s ever walked through life’s hardest trials. Inspired by the biblical imagery of gold being refined through fire, “Tried In The Fire” reminds listeners that our struggles don’t define us — they purify us.

Early lines like “You may have to knock me down, but Jesus picks me up” hint at the song’s deep spiritual core: a testimony of grace, endurance, and divine restoration. Listeners are invited to consider their own refining moments — to ask, “Have you been trying the fire too?” — and to take heart in knowing they’re not alone.

The song draws from rich biblical stories — like the fiery furnace of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego — where faith was tested, but not destroyed. As the lyrics quietly allude, “when they looked again, there was a fourth man in the fire”— a divine presence that changed everything. It’s a reminder that even when life turns up the heat, God is right there in the flames with us.

Tried In The Fire is more than music. It’s ministry. It’s for the weary, the warriors, and the worshippers — for anyone who’s faced the fire and come out stronger, wiser, and closer to God.

Set your reminders — this Thursday, June 19th — “Tried In The Fire” drops on all major platforms.

This is not just a release. It’s a declaration.
