Women Can Now Get Rich Off Rejecting Men On This Dating App

Abhilash Inumella has a talent for launching disruptive ventures. When India banned TikTok, he seized the moment by creating Samosa, a Hyderabad-based video-sharing app. Under his leadership, Samosa attracted 10 million users by offering creative tools like filters and stickers in various Indian languages. Nicknamed the ‘TikTok of India,’ Samosa became a cultural phenomenon, enabling widespread access to localized, personalized content across India’s digital landscape. Inumella’s entrepreneurial journey continued with the co-founding of Questbook, an app based in Palo Alto that helps professionals upskill through short, focused courses. Questbook specializes in blockchain technologies like Ethereum, Solidity, and Solana. With a community of over 10,000 developers, the platform has become a vital hub for connecting people to exciting career opportunities in the rapidly growing Web3 space. Having built over 50 companies, Inumella is now gearing up to launch his latest project: Swifey, a dating app set to roll out later this year. Swifey stands apart from traditional swipe-based platforms by introducing a groundbreaking feature—users are paid for every swipe, turning casual interactions into financial opportunities. Swifey aims to revolutionize the dating landscape, just as Samosa redefined video sharing and Questbook disrupted professional development. With Inumella’s experience in scaling platforms and building engaged communities, Swifey could become a game-changer, offering users more than just matches, but real financial rewards. The app’s distinctive model allows men to send a match request by contributing a dollar. Women can then either accept the match by adding a dollar of their own or decline and earn the dollar instead. This structure adds a financial incentive to each interaction, making every engagement more deliberate and meaningful. In cities like New York, which was recently rated the worst for dating due to an imbalanced gender ratio and a fast-paced lifestyle, Swifey offers a new approach. By incorporating financial stakes into dating, the app encourages more intentional interactions, moving away from the often shallow culture of swiping on other platforms. Swifey prioritizes meaningful connections, answering the call for a more thoughtful and purpose-driven dating experience in today’s world.
