Sugarhill Ddot Opens The Door To His Inner World On “Confessions”

Harlem’s Sugarhill Ddot begins 2026 by pulling the curtain back. On his new single Confessions, the 17-year-old artist delivered one of his most emotionally direct performances to date. From the opening bars, “Confessions” carries a wintry stillness. Sugarhill Ddot moves fluidly between rapping and melody as he unpacks depression, isolation, and the weight of caring for family while still growing himself. Built on icy melodies, chiming keys, and a weighty bass, the track captures a moment where success, pressure, and responsibility collide in real time. On socials, Ddot framed the release plainly:

I’m back. This is real pain. Sorry to all my fans — I love ya. I wanna apologize for my slack and not dropping for a whole year. This song right here gon’ tell ya why tho.

Shot across familiar corners of New York City, the accompanying video deepens that introspection. We see Ddot alone at a Harlem deli, on a stoop, and seated at a concrete chess table across from a version of himself dressed in black. The visual underscores an internal conflict between survival and softness. “Confessions” follows a high-energy run that included Crashouts and the 2 Sides Of The Story era. Signaling a new chapter rooted in reflection, Sugarhill Ddot continues to expand his range by revealing what’s been underneath it all along. Follow today on Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok!
