(EP) Star2 and $tupid Young – “Different Breed” @Star2Official @dollasignyoungg

Star2 and $tupid Young release their new monumental EP, Different Breed, showcasing the talents of two pioneering Asian-American rappers. The six track collection explores deep-cut experiences up against violence, gangs, and police brutality; all which Star2 and $tupid Young had to overcome to make it as musicians. Different Breed has a supervillain feel to it with darkly lavish beats, venomous rhythmics, and gritty vocals that reflect on Star2 and $tupid Young’s tumultuous journey to fame.

Star2 and $tupid Young enlist a stacked lineup of collaborators on the EP including Lil Poppa (signed with Yo Gotti’s CMG label) and MB Nel, another force in the Asian-American hip-hop community.

Star2 and $tupid Young are at a crossroads in their career and hope to pioneer the next wave of Asian rap. $tupid Young says it plainly, “I want more Asian artists to break out and succeed”. Different Breed cements Star2 and $tupid Young’s status as the guiding forces on the Asian hip-hop scene and it’s only a matter of time before more musicians follow in their footsteps.

Star2 has worked alongside Soulja Boy, Mozzy, HoodTrophy Bino, Luh Kel, YSN Flow, and MarMar Oso to name a few. He’s received resounding acclaim from Harper’s Bazaar Vietnam, GQ, Earmilk, BET, Lyrical Lemonade, HotNewHipHop, HipHopDX, The Source, and Ones to Watch. Different Breed is his latest release.
