Born on August 11, Slique Jay Adams, known simply as Slique, is a distinguished balladeer from Chicago, with roots in both the south and west sides of the city. Raised in a musically-inclined family, his father was a multi-talented musician in an R&B/gospel band, and his great-grandmother was also a singer. Slique’s music, a blend of rhythm, blues, soul, gospel, pop, dance, and hip-hop, focuses on themes of love and relationships.

In May 2009, Slique released his debut album, “Rhythm & Ghetto Soul,” featuring the top 20 single “Your Body” which achieved over 15,000 BDS spins.
