Kanye West made his seventh appearance on stage at the 2013 MTV VMAs tonight when he performed "Blood On The Leaves." Though he had reportedly originally planned to perform "BLKKK SKKKN HEAD", we guess the MTV execs shut that down. But it’s all good because it’s one of our fave tracks on Yeezus.
The performance was still full of its controversial elements, as Kanye performed in the shadows of a lynching tree. Nevertheless, he had the support of Kim Kardashian (who was home in Cali with their daughter North West) tweeting “Best performance of the night @kanyewest !!!!!!!!!”
Well that’s sweet.
