Eve Addresses Nicki Minaj’s "Ruff Ride, E-V-E" Verse (@TheRealEve @NICKIMINAJ)

Rap-Up caught up with Eve to discuss her latest album and how it’s translated with her core fans.  Eve acknowledged that she understands that some people don’t understand it, and that it might’ve strayed from the attention of her core audience but she felt as though she had to do it for herself.  She was later asked about her reaction to Nicki Minaj’s verse on Meek Mill’s  “I Be On Dat” track where she mentions “It’s a Ruff Ride, E-V-E.”  

Eve didn’t take the line to be any type of offense and said that she “f*cks with her [Nicki].”  She feels as though the constant competition between female rappers always trying to outshine the other “needs to stop, seriously.”
