The world is a violent place. Gunman fired upon groups of people at a Nairobi, Kenya shopping mall today, killing at least 20 people. The Kenyan government is blaming the attack on a Somali militant group called al Shabaab, and the claims certainly make sense. The same Al-Qaeda related group has made threats against the mall before.
Witnesses believe there were at least five men carrying out the carnage, armed with AK-47s and aimlessly shooting into crowds. It’s also been determined that this wasn’t a robbery, but rather a calculated terrorist attack.
