Too $hort Gets Off Easy In DUI Case

Veteran hip hop star Too $hort has reportedly cut a deal with prosecutors to avoid doing time for running away from the police during a DUI arrest earlier this year. The rapper only received three years probation as opposed to being sentenced to any jail time.

$hort pleaded no contest to driving with a blood alcohol level of .08 or higher and all other charges were dismissed.

Too $hort’s lawyer was able to get him the deal despite the fact that the Bay Area native has multiple prior DUI arrests. In addition to his three years of probation, Too $hort has to pay fines and attend alcohol education classes.
