Darren Waller & JRod Confront Heartbreak Head-On In “Streets Get Cold”

In the silence after love, the loudest voice is your own. In a raw and reflective new single, former NFL star turned artist Darren Waller joins rising vocalist JRod for Streets Get Cold. Set against moody production and heartfelt melodies, the track paints a portrait of emotional limbo of the lonely place between nostalgia and healing. Their verses unpack the pride, fear, and ego often masked during heartbreak, offering an unfiltered view of what it means to grieve a love without shame. The official visuals echo tension, weaving through intimate highs and emotional lows before closing with a quiet, powerful decision to move on. Waller shares:
There’s that window after a breakup where you’re torn—part of you wants to go back, almost like a withdrawal. But the other part knows the discomfort is necessary to grow.
“Streets Get Cold” finds both artists leaning into their vulnerability, capturing the inner tension between wanting to return to a relationship and accepting the growth that comes with letting go. “Streets Get Cold” sets the tone for Cadillac Problems, a joint EP arriving this spring during Mental Health Awareness Month, a cause deeply personal to Waller, who has long been transparent about his mental health journey and recovery from addiction. As he prepares for the HYROX fitness competition in NYC on May 31, watch the video for “Streets Get Cold” and stay tuned for more from Darren Waller on INSTAGRAM, TWITTER, TIKTOK, and YOUTUBE.
