GloRilla Rewrites Loyalty In “Typa” Video With Keyshia Cole & Xavier Legette

“It’s the ‘ride-or-die’ for me.” GloRilla cranks the drama and devotion to new heights in her stunning new video Typa directed by industry heavyweight Benny Boom. The cinematic visual pairs her razor-sharp lyricism with the soulful essence of Keyshia Cole’s iconic 2005 hit Love, sampling the R&B classic to score a new kind of hood romance. The visual features rising NFL star Xavier Legette as Glo’s fiercely loyal partner, staying down through money moves, quiet moments, and even a jail call. Meanwhile, Keyshia Cole herself appears as a guiding force, bringing both nostalgia and raw emotion to this sultry, streetwise tale. With “Typa” out now, GloRilla is set to perform at the 2025 BET Awards on June 9 in Big Glo fashion.

“Typa” follows a blazing run for GloRilla, who has been unstoppable since the release of her Billboard 200-topping debut GLORIOUS. The album has been hailed for breakout tracks like TGIF, I LUV HER with T-Pain, and the Sexyy Red-assisted WHATCHU KNO ABOUT ME. In 2025, Big Glo has been everywhere: Lil Baby’s Red Bone, GELO’s Can You Please, and Teddy Swims’ genre-bending She Got It. GloRilla’s summer is already stacked, taking over over Hot 97’s Summer Jam (June 20), ESSENCE Festival (July), and wrap it all up with her first annual Glo Bash in Memphis. Watch the “Typa” video now and keep up with one of hip-hop’s most commanding voices by following Glorilla on Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok.
