Peace Needs Conference Hosted by Hip Hop Artist Jabee Takes Place in Oklahoma City

Emmy-winning musician Jabee has announced the Peace Needs Conference, which will be held at the Fordson Hotel in downtown Oklahoma City, OK, from September 26 to September 28. Chuck D, the legendary Public Enemy MC, will be the main speaker. From September 26 through the 28, in downtown Oklahoma City, participants will encounter a convergence of tried-and-true peacemaking strategies from community organizing, the arts, education, dialogue, and advocacy. The goal is to solve community violence and collaborate with and learn from national and local leaders. The conference’s primary goal is to leverage long-standing efforts to bridge divides and effect positive change across the political spectrum. LiveFree OKC is collaborating to develop a more varied ecosystem for policy innovation. “Get ready to join us as we come together to discuss the path to peace and community transformation,” said Jabee in a statement. “We’re excited to hear from incredible speakers and leaders as we address the circumstances of violence, the cost of violence, and how we can wage peace in our communities.
